Telethon 2021

The Community Raised Over $400,000 to Fight Food Insecurity and Aid Regional Economic Recovery

In a year of record hunger and a lingering economic crisis, the members of our Desert Region never missed an opportunity to help a neighbor that fell behind. Last week, the community stepped into action at FIND’s 11th Annual Telethon, raising over $400,000 to provide hunger relief for every family, child, senior, and person in need.

Telethon donations are already flowing back into the communities that helped raise an incredible amount of money to combat food insecurity! FIND’s 22 additional mobile markets will continue operating drive-thru style food distributions. The 150 distribution sites and community partners that need food will stay stocked and ready to serve their respective communities.

Lines for food remain substantial, and while the economy opens up, a significant portion of the population will not be able to bounce back with the rest of the region. Over 150,000 people on average each month need food assistance to afford necessities like rent, medicine, and other bills. FIND will be there with the same support we offered clients since the pandemic began, with expanding programs to provide the tools, education, and resources to lift neighbors out of food and financial insecurity.

FIND Food Bank and its staff extend a sincere thank you to all of those who donated, volunteered, sponsored, and supported our 11th Annual Telethon. It is outstanding to have the outpouring of support from our community members who refuse to let anyone in the Desert go hungry.

Your donation will help FIND reach our goal to serve 22 million meals in 2021 to ensure every family, child, senior, and person can recover and thrive again.
