Kids Summer Program
Through our network of member agencies F.I.N.D. Food Bank provides supplemental breakfast, lunch
and snacks to needy children during the summer who would otherwise receive these meals during school
session.
Senior Outreach Program
FIND Food Bank provides senior care packages to low income seniors who are unable to shop for themselves.
This program permits low income seniors from having to shop for their groceries and also frees up income
which they can target toward the purchase of many other essential items they may need such as medications.
Nutritional Education
Through a number of area organizations, such as YMCA, Desert Health Care, and Boys & Girls Clubs, FIND
Food Bank provides education on nutritional and healthy eating alternatives. FIND provides educational
information such as “Eat 5 for better health A Day and Be Active” from California 5 a Day Campaign,
USDA’S “Make Family Time an Active Time,” and California Department of Public Health’s “Champions for
Change” initiative FIND is also an active participant to the Desert Healthcare District’s “Healthy Eating
Active Living Network” educational healthy living project and The California Endowment, Healthy Communities
Coachella Collaborative.
*NEW* Food Stamp Outreach
FIND Food Bank, in collaboration with the Department of Public Services, will reach out to the people
we serve and help provide education on the eligibility of Food Stamps and WIC.
*NEW* Mobile Pantry Truck
FIND Food Bank will ensure all those that are in need in rural areas have access to food and areas of
high demand and lack of resources will have access to food and food stamp/ WIC program Farmers Market.
